Understanding Zinfandel & Primitivo
Zinfandel and Primitivo are names for the same grape variety, also linked to Croatia's Tribidrag tradition. Dry red versions can be exuberant and full-bodied, with mixed red and black fruit. Sweet pink White Zinfandel is a different wine style made from the same grape. Check alcohol and sweetness rather than inferring either from the name alone.
