Understanding Grenache & Garnacha
Grenache, known as Garnacha in Spain, can make aromatic reds as well as rosés and fortified wines. Warm-climate ripeness often brings generous alcohol, so freshness and restraint matter. It is a key part of many southern Rhône blends and also stands alone convincingly. Old-vine language is worth exploring, but it is not a quality guarantee.
