Understanding Muscat & Moscato
Muscat is a family of grapes rather than one universal wine style. Moscato d'Asti is a lightly sparkling sweet expression, while other Muscat wines can be dry or fortified. Grape-like aromas and orange blossom often connect them. Read sweetness, alcohol and sparkling terminology instead of assuming every Muscat is a dessert wine.
