Understanding Lambrusco
Lambrusco is neither one grape nor an automatically sweet wine. Different varieties and appellations produce pale, fragrant rosés and deeply coloured sparkling reds, in dry through sweet styles. Acidity, bubbles and sometimes tannin make dry examples useful at the table. Sorbara and Grasparossa offer contrasting places to begin.
