Understanding Spanish Brandy
Spain makes brandy in several regions, including Catalonia. Producers may use local grapes, batch ageing or solera systems, and different types of oak. Spanish brandy is the broader category; Brandy de Jerez is a particular geographical tradition within it. Look for production detail rather than assuming every Spanish bottle follows the same method.
