Understanding Brandy de Jerez
Brandy de Jerez develops much of its identity during maturation in Sherry-seasoned oak. The traditional criaderas and solera system refreshes older stocks with younger spirit, creating continuity across bottlings. Casks that held different Sherry styles leave different impressions. A solera's founding date is not the age of every drop in the bottle.
