Understanding Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is the grape behind Barolo and Barbaresco, but Langhe, northern Piedmont and Valtellina offer other useful perspectives. Its colour can look delicate even when tannins and acidity are strong. Producer and origin help explain whether a bottle is ready for the table or built for longer development.
