Understanding Apple Brandy & Applejack
Apple brandy starts with fermented apple juice. American applejack spans different products: some bottles contain only apple brandy, while blended applejack may include neutral spirit. Read the label before assuming the two are interchangeable. Variety, orchard, distillation and cask choices can make the result fresh and tart or rounded and spicy.
