Understanding Red Wine Blends
A red blend is a composition, not a fixed flavour or a lower quality tier. Bordeaux-style blends often combine Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and related grapes; southern Rhône-style blends may bring Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre together. Other regions use their own combinations. Read the actual varieties, origin and sweetness information before comparing bottles.
